"Christ
As Life"
"A Believer's Prayer"
"A Believer's Deliverance"
Who needs to
be saved?
The answer is
"everyone!" We all were born into a sinful nature. Therefore, Jesus
said, "Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the
kingdom of God"
(John 3:3) and
"That which is born
of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit"
(John 3:6).
How can I be
saved?
-
First, realize your sinful
condition.
"For
all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"
(Romans 3:23).
"The
heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked"
(Jeremiah
17:9).
Second, recognize the
penalty for your sin.
"For
the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord"
(Romans 6:23).
Death refers to separation from God, Who desires to have a relationship
with you personally.
Third, recognize that the
gift of God is for you.
"But
God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us"
(Romans 5:8).
"The
Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance"
(2 Peter 3:9).
Fourth, respond to the Holy
Spirit’s conviction.
Jesus said,
"No
man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him"
(John 6:44).
Romans 10:9 says,
"That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved."
Finally, you will see a
real evidence of your new birth.
"And
that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live
unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again…
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new"
(2 Corinthians
5:15-17).
"The
thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come
that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
(John 10:10)
